All about Mrs. Buscha
I am in my 14th year of teaching with RRISD and am a proud product of RRISD. I went to Canyon Vista Middle and graduated from Westwood High. I went to Stephen F. Austin State University and the University of Houston for my undergraduate and graduate work. I've been playing the flute since I was in 4th grade! In fact, my whole family is musical. My mother plays the flute, Dad plays the oboe, brother plays the tuba, and my husband used to play the violin. I taught 2 years of middle school band at Hernandez Middle School before I came to Elementary Music. I am married to my husband, Erik and we have a son named Easton and a daughter named Brynley.
My mission for all my students is to inspire them to have a lifelong love and appreciation of music.
If you need to get in touch with me, email is best, as I
always has access to email instead of the classroom phone. Please email at: [email protected].

All about Mrs. Cantwell
I'm thrilled to be joining the Fern Bluff Elementary community for my seventh year teaching! I'll be split with Great Oaks and you can find me on campus every Monday, Tuesday, and some Fridays too.
My love for music began at the early age of five when I received my very first guitar. A few months later, for my sixth birthday, my parents enrolled me in classical guitar lessons and I was hooked instantly. I was an active choir member both in middle and high school while also competing as a classical guitarist.
I graduated from Southwestern University (Go Pirates!) in 2016 where I received a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education. My principal instrument was classical guitar, but I also studied voice and piano. I earned my Kodály certification from Texas State University in the summer of 2018.
I'm married to my college sweetheart, Tyler, and we have a one year old daughter, Everlee, as well as two "fur-children", Toby and Holden (both cats). I love to share lots of stories about them!
I truly look forward to a wonderful year of making musical memories together!
